millertime24 8 #1 February 21, 2010 So I just got back from a wedding. It was my coworkers son and his ladyfriend getting married. I was there in a working capacity shooting vid, stills, and running audio for the reception. On top of that I helped out here and there where my iphone gps came in quite handy (they needed some random shit throughout the setup phase). Ok down to the real entertainment of the evening. The bride invited her ex-bf to both the wedding and the reception. She told her, now, husband that she wouldnt invite her ex. Explain to me why the fuck kids these days have to go out of their way to make drama for each other? Also, the ex contributed to it. He knew that none of the family or the groom for that matter wanted him there, but he stayed anyway. WTF? BTW, before you guys get on me about calling them kids, they are litterally teenagers and Im almost 30 so yeah I get that privelige. Either way, the money was good for me and the antics were fun to watch.Muff #5048
NovaTTT 2 #2 February 21, 2010 Too much idle time on their hands, too much access to technology, too much exposure to the BS presented daily on television as if it's reality, too little common sense, too much feel-good political correctness/liberalism. That's some stew they're growing up in. "Even in a world where perfection is unattainable, there's still a difference between excellence and mediocrity." I dont think the kids should get all the technollogy that so many of them have until they can buy it themselves (and that inludes paying for internet and cable). Hell, I didnt really have shit (techno wise) until I joined the AF and bought it for myself.Muff #5048
JohnMitchell 16 #4 February 21, 2010 Maybe they were hoping to get some Jerry Springer style reality TV show video. That would have been cool, the groom and the ex-BF duking it out, maybe wrestling through the cake and all . . .I give it six months, max.
millertime24 8 #5 February 21, 2010 Quote I give it six months, max. I was actually thinking this to myself. I hate to be a cynical bastard when 2 people in love have just committed to oneanother, but they're so young and dont really know what life has to throw at them yet. Not to be a dick or anything, but this marriage only happened after these two had a child. This disturbs me a little, but not too much. Like I said I work with the grooms mother and I know that child will be well cared for. Still, a shitty reason to tie the knot if you ask me.Muff #5048
