BillyVance 35 #128 February 26, 2010 USA is already up 1-0 on Finland less than 3 minutes into the 1st quarter, thanks to the boneheaded Finn's goalie coming waaaay out from the goal. virgin-burner 1 #139 February 26, 2010 Quote Heard during Czech vs Russian Hockey . . . One announcer asks the other, "What language are they speaking down there?" To which the other announcer answers, "On the Czech bench they're speaking Czech, on the Russian bench they're speaking Russian. And on the ice, to each other they use English, but it ain't very nice." LOL . . . BillyVance 35 #140 February 26, 2010 Well, the USA wins 6-1 over Finland. But basically, the game was over after USA took a 6-0 lead into the locker room after the 1st period and 2nd periods. I don't know whether Finland tightened up and played better or the USA just coasted. But the undefeated USA team is in the Gold Medal game! Fuck yeah! I agree, but it's Canada that will have to bring their 'A' game if they want to have a chance. USA already beat Canada once. The first game is meaningless. But I do agree that Canada will have to bring their "A" game. Of course so will the USA. It looks like Slovakia started off playing the semi-final trying to take the game into a 0-0 overtime tie and try their luck winning the game in the shootout. Can you blame them? After what the USA did this afternoon to Finland. But with the two Canadian goals, the Slovaks will not be able to sit back. They are going to have to open up sooner or later and when they do they better not hope they get caught. Looking good so far for a Canada/USA Gold Medal rematch. But 20 minutes does not make a game. Go get'em Canada. Keep the pressure on and don't get lazy with the backchecking. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
