JohnMitchell 16 #2 March 8, 2010 Wish the pic had more pixels to examine more closely. I liked how the witness knew it was a small "five-seater" airplane. Now that's some sharp eyes. The Holiday Inn in Renton, WA used to have a C-150 on the roof, right next to the freeway. I tried to google an image of that, but I couldn't find it. Why did they have an airplane on the roof? Just that quirky Northwest humor.

NickDG 23 #8 March 8, 2010 I always shudder when I consider how many poor schmucks in the last fifty years got the electric chair on the basis of eye witness testimony. You see how fallible it is all the time, especially when various layman describe the same aviation accident. "It hit the ground then burst into flames!" "It came down in flames then hit the ground!" "It burst into flames then did a loop de loop!" "It did a loop de loop then burst into flames!" You even see it at the DZ sometimes . . . "He chopped it at a grand and fought it all the way in!" "He chopped it at 500-feet and flailed the rest of the way!" NickD
