Hand altis: Which fingers do you wear the loop around?

Just got my Altimaster Galaxy and I'm curious how you guys wear your hand mounts... seems to me like pointer and middle finger is the most comfortable for me

I've always used my index and middle fingers. That way, it tended to be at a slight angle facing me.

The more on the back of the hand, the more in the burble, and the higher it reads relative to true altitude while in a freefall position which puts it in the burble.

Index finger only (not one of your choices), it is easier to read, not so much in the burble, and leaves my fingers unrestricted.

I use 3 fingers too when I'm not wearing gloves... 2 with gloves, which is pretty much always except maybe the middle of the summer.

I added another smaller ring at a right angle to the main one, which goes round my thumb. This holds the alti in a position where I can read it in a sit without tipping my hand. I need all the help I can get...

I get the anti-burble as a bonus I didn't know existed till I read this thread!

When I was a student I wore it on middle and ring and found that to be uncomfortable. Then I switched to index and middle and it was better. Now I just put it on my index finger.

the hand mount for the original altIII was designed to be used on the middle and ring finger(circa 1976).i know. i worked for SSE INC at the time and built the first several years worth of hand mounts.original hand mounts used a lengnth of 1/4 '' shock cord. using an "O" ring was my idea(we used the ones that paraflite use to use on free bags before they invented and released the safety stow to the industry in 1982.
