Best iPhone Protection

I finally decided to get an iPhone.

I've been recommended to get an Otterbox Defender as it is "bombproof". I think it prevents you from slipping the sleek phone in your pocket, and costs too much, but does offer the benefit of less worries.

Maybe one of their slightly less clunky covers is a suitable idea.

What do you use to protect it, and have you had problems?

note: I bought Applecare.

So since its called an 'Otterbox' and they say it's bombproof ...wonder if you could drop it from the door on a jump run and recover it later...would it still work.

OR should I say will it blend?

i just stuck a gelaskin on mine and it worked great for a year and a half. until last week. i went to set it on my dresser and it slipped from my hand. my cat-like reflexes kicked in and i tried to grab it, but ended up punching it into my dresser instead. cracked the glass. it'll have to last another couple of months until the new model comes out though.

For me it's a no brainer. It is a tad bit bulky in my pocket, but I've decided it is well worth it. Definitely check the Amazon prices before you decide it is too expensive. I found it for $30ish.
