johnboy 0 #1 April 2, 2010 Fourteen and a half years of marriage down the tubes. I've spent pretty much the entire time putting her and our marriage ahead of my own needs only to be repeatedly told that I'm not doing enough. I'm 100% positive I'm not perfect and that I could have done things different or better, but I'm tired and don't want to be the football any longer, particularly since she has flat out told me that she refuses to change. I don't speak up much around here, but I'm stinging pretty hard tonight. Tomorrow always brings with it the inevitability of change and I will stand and face it like I always do. But tonight I could really just use a hug.
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #2 April 2, 2010 I am so sorry to hear that. It sounds like you've really tried hard to make it work, but don't beat yourself up over this. Be thankful that you had the experience. Life always seems to have wonderful things in store for us, if we just keep our eyes and hearts open. You will find happiness, again. Sending hugs and best wishes to you. Feel better soon, Johnboy. davelepka 4 #5 April 2, 2010 QuoteBut tonight I could really just use a hug. Oh yeah? Well, you're not married anymore, so go out and find a much younger, more attractive woman than your ex, and get yourself a hug (and whatever else you want).
wmw999 2,589 #6 April 2, 2010 Been there, after 14 years of marriage. Now it's time to figure out who YOU want to be, rather than who someone else wants you to be. It's hard at first, and you'll discover some interesting things about yourself. But here's that hug now ((( ))) Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. Well - if you hug Divot - be careful - Twardo told me he gets a little like an octopuss.Maybe try this?I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

johnboy 0 #9 April 3, 2010 thanks all! And for the PMs too. Time marches on and so will I. I'm not one for sitting down while the world happens around me. I just needed to sit for a moment. Now where's the beer?

jumpoutnow 0 #11 April 3, 2010 Love yourself. Nobody else will join you in the incinerator or while you are rotting in a 6 foot deep hole. Make your own smiles while you are here. It's your choice.People are crazy. Cuz there's more of 'em.
