I feel your pain. I still have nightmares about 2nd year college calculus. All I can say is memorize them now since they may come back to haunt you.

Trig has definitly been one of the more useful things I've remembered from school. I use it in the field pretty often at work. It's even better when some one has a trig app on their phone. Don't even have to remember how to do it. You just punch in the info you have and you get your answer.

Regarding Trig Identities, allow me comfort the original poster by saying that you will NEVER, EVER use those in your professional career. Doesn't it make you feel better that you're learning them for no reason?

If they let you use the TI-89 at your school, then I seriously recommend you purchase one immediately. You can save all the identities you're required to regurgitate and access them during your tests. I just finished my Mechanical Engineering degree and my TI-89 was definitely the most valuable device I used all through school, except maybe my pencil.
