DancingFlame 0 #26 May 18, 2005 Quote but with lens from the original Z1 Oh yeah, I thought my first lens was from 'original Z1'. But again when I changed it I was amazed how good the REAL original Z1 lens is. It it pricey - US$35 or somewhat around. But it really works. Just try it yourself
NWPoul 1 #27 May 18, 2005 May be but exactly that lens in "selfmaded" helmet works just fine, the problems has guy with the original helmet:)Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
ViperPilot 0 #28 June 9, 2005 I did one jump in CO when it was -30F at altitude. Gloves is the biggest part. My hands were so frozen I could barely grab my toggles. Another guy had a camera with me and it was fine, no bad fogging.
riggerrob 643 #29 June 9, 2005 Quote Is that a tube scarf you are wearing? Just wondering how it worked for you? because I, personally, will never wear one on a jump again. Did some winter (-20ish C) jumps, and had my tube scarf blow up over my eyes in freefall. (it was a solo, just had to pull it back down to my neck. and all was good.) I'll stick to my balaclava from now on >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The trick with tube scarves/neck warmers is to catch them with your chin strap so that they come close to your nose, but are not able to blow high enough to cover your goggles. Neck warmers do far more to promote blood flow in fingers than the fanciest of gloves. Neck warmers are worth their weight in gold on cold days. I have jumped in Canada when the weather was -30 Celcius on the ground.
