Vido/pc gods i need your help please

Recommended Posts

Guys I did my first return jumps this past Friday.
Two jumps from 13k ft :)One i went long on the landing and landed square in the middle of the runway but the other i had my final dialed in and landed softly and safely on the grass.
I had both jumps video taped.....incase they were my last Lol
But one problem, i can't get the DVD to work on my computer. It will read the files but won't play the DVD.

My instructor utilized a Sony HD camera to capture the jump.
He burned in on a Sony DVD burner on a DVD-R
It plays perfectly on my DVD player but though the computers (Dell and Apple) neither can play the movie but can see the files.....
Also how do i convert the video in to windows media player.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since I can't seem to find anything on line.

Thank you
Shah

there are small anomalies with some computers and DVD players alike and not all of them play all DVDs burned on different systems

Try using a computer to make a copy of the DVD, sometimes I have had the copy work whereas the original would not - who the f*** knows why.

Or if you have Roxio or Nero software, sometimes you can try to create an ISO file from the original DVD. then you use the ISO file to create more DVDs, and sometimes they work.

TO save the video files, you need DVD Ripper software, www.downloads.com, but if your computer will not play the DVD, it may not read it either.

Last, pull the DVD player right out of your computer, find the exact model #, go to the internet, make the sure the latest firmware is installed for the burner, and try again.

these things make me crazy too, but again - they do happen and there no no reason other than gremlins....
