Do you tell the wife?

Recommended Posts

So, you found out several acquaintances/friends did the Horizontle Mambo with a married someone that you know flew halfway around the world. You also know of the person and really couldn't care less wether or not you piss them off by telling their business. Do you tell his wife the risk or do you just stay out of it and hope that the person tells the truth?

And actually, yes, just like Skymama, I am posting for someone else.

Pals with the cheater-we'll talk and hopefully they'll stop. With the Cheatee, I'll talk with the cheater and hopefully they'll stop-I'll address it if they didn't. Pals with both-yeah, I'd still start with the cheating sleaze bag but it may turn into a group session. Friends with neither, I'll just be glad I hang with a better class of people.

Depends on the wife they might thank you for letting them know, or they might stupidly resent you for being the one bringing that kind of news to them, not to mention the husband when he finds out you tattle told on him...

I will swear on your hot ass, that someone else really did ask me to post that question. :P

To answer your question: were they smart enough to get frequent flyer miles from traveling halfway around the world? That weighs heavily in my decision.

Are you better friends with him than with her? If you value her friendship more than his, then tell her. Unless he is your boss. Then that would be a bad thing to do.
Are you sure she doesn't already know? Maybe she does and she's ok with it. In that case, you piss off both and you become the ass.
Is there any possible good that can come from you telling her? If not, then don't. (This does not include the possibility of doing the Posturepedic Polka with her.)
My worthless opinion...unless she is a very good friend, best to forget you even know the guy.

So "know of" would imply you dont actually know this person.
So i would put this in the same category as the other post. MYOB, it has nothing to do with you.
Also given the person flew halfway around the world one can assume you dont know the said persons wife. Which kind of makes the post pointless.

However assuming you did know either or both of them.

"You found out" does that mean you KNOW with certainty, and have factual proof that it occurred or are you working from supposition, rumour and hear say.

If the latter and you in fact dont know anything but are merely working on rumour, i'd question your motives for wanting to tell anyone.
You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky)

Are you saying that I would have had to witness the actual act for it to be valid?
I'd say I have some reliable witnesses behind me.

So you're saying you are working off of hear say, OK got it.
Well given that irrefutable evidence, go ahead and call said persons wife.

I'll wait for the poll results to come in - then maybe I'll follow that and maybe the friends will do the calling . . . I am just posting what I was asked to post.

I know some people like the "mind your own business" theory. But once I am aware of an ongoing lie / adultery / placing someone in jeopardy / you name it, it has become my business. I don't lie. I don't lie by omission. I don't help someone else lie. I don't help someone else lie by omission.

Keeping your mouth shut is the easy thing to do...that's a clue that it's probably wrong.

I was taught to uphold the code, "I will not lie, cheat, steal or tolerate those who do". I've never found a moral flaw in that code.
I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I wouldn't tell, but if you must, you might as well leave an anonymous note. Or better yet, leave an anonymous note for the husband, saying that you know, I bet that would help shape him up real quick.

Somehow I really doubt that would work.:|
