Twoply 0 #1 June 16, 2010 I'm planning a surprise party for my woman who's turning 40. I'm planning on a bonfire/ backyard thing with maybe a pig roast caterer. I'm planning on calling her 2-3 college girlfriends to fly in, her parents along with all our friends and having them all send me photos to put on display. I have until sept to make arrangements so time is ok. I want to make it fun, memorable, and earn me a lot of sex. So offer up ideas for me to accomplish my goals! Thanks

VideoFly 0 #4 June 16, 2010 Oriental Trading has a great catalog (and on-line catalog) of inexpensive party theme goods specifically for 40th birthday and over-the-hill themes. With their selection you can completely decorate the area and match all utensils, plates, cups, and decorations to your 40th theme. It’s a nice touch for us “older” people. Also, you can locate as many pictures of your wife as you can find from years past and scan and present them in PhotoStory (available as a free download) with music. You can burn the presentation to show on a TV or play it on a computer during the party. It’s especially great if you include old pictures of your wife with her parents and friends attending the party. You can also try to make the party a surprise, but women seem to be able to accomplish that better than we can. Make the party something very special. 40 is an important number for women. wmw999 2,589 #6 June 16, 2010 The only way it'll be a surprise is if she's gone all day. Have a co-conspirator go to the spa or gym or something with her while preparations are going on; then when she comes home (and the friend has to make sure she's presentable when she gets home or she'll be embarrassed) have everything ready out in the back yard. Maybe with a note under a rose saying "I'm in the back waiting for you" Oh -- the reason for hte friend is in part to make sure she shows up at home on time. My parents were 2 1/2 hours late for their silver wedding anniversary party because the hostess (my aunt) made it sound too casual Wendy P. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. skydiver30960 0 #8 June 16, 2010 Quote Oriental Trading has a great catalog (and on-line catalog) of inexpensive party theme goods specifically for 40th birthday and over-the-hill themes... ... 40 is an important number for women. Which is EXACTLY why I'd avoid the whole "lordy lordy look who's 40" and "over the hill" stuff. Not many ladies (or men for that matter) are initially excited about being 40. But, as they say, 40 is the new 30. It's all in how you spin it. So... Instead, focus on how young and vibrant she still is, all the fun stuff she still does, how wonderful her life has been in her more mature years, and how happy you are to be with her as you two continue your lives together. ... do it right and (since it was listed in the OPs original goals) the poontang will fall from the sky.
