BillyVance 35 #1 June 23, 2010 Today is my 17th. So.... I guess that puts me directly in the middle between the old timers and the noobs? wmw999 2,589 #2 June 23, 2010 Somewhere around now is my 35th. My first couple of logbooks disappeared with my rigger's kit a long time ago Wendy P. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. I'm missing the one logbook with the most memories in it from a car theft. Of all the stuff that was taken, that one can't be replaced. BillyVance 35 #8 June 23, 2010 QuoteLog book? I haven't touched mine since jump number 3268....I just got tired of it....kind-a regret that sumtimes! When I first started out, I used to detail every jump. I'd fill the entire block as if I was writing a book. Nowadays, I just list the data in the small blocks at the top of the page and a few words in the main block. After the theft, I started a MS Excel spreadsheet keeping most of my jump info in there. The jumps are logged differently than the logbooks themselves, but it helps me see where everything I did is, to a point."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
k-dubjumps 0 #9 June 23, 2010 My skybirthday and actual birthday are the same day, December 16. This year will be my 20th skybirthday. Speaking of logbooks, I sitll have my little rubber stamps for logging RW jumps. I still use them on occasion. I haev no clue how many jumps I have actually made...I only count the ones I had to pay taxes on!(paid jumps) Bear, (old timers here will remember him, D138) litterally wrote a small novel on every one of his jumps...I'd love get his log books and have it made into a movie....I have no idea who ended up with them!
