shah269 0 #1 June 24, 2010 It's kind of sad when you come to realize that though the world isn't full of assholes...there sure are a lot of them out there and that maybe you shouldn't give everyone your undevided respect and attention. Oh well....such is life. Thank god for the big blue sky and my friends at the DZ. Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. quade 4 #7 June 24, 2010 Quote Late bloomer, huh? Most of us figured that one out in grade school! Well, count me in as a "late bloomer" too then because it wasn't until the internet got popular about 10 years ago that I figured it out. Until then I assumed most people were nice and about once every 6 months or so something would snap in them and there might be an outburst of minor assholishness, but things would return to normal shortly. That is until, like I said, about 10 years ago when the internet got popular enough that you could see masses of people hiding behind the anonymity of it. That's when their true selves came out. Without the fear of immediate reprisals, people just tend to go into full on idiot mode. Character is what you are in the dark and for a surprisingly high percentage of people when they're cloaked in the shadow of the internet they reveal themselves as the assholes they really are.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

quade 4 #9 June 24, 2010 QuoteTry face to face....or better yet the moment you walk out of the room. Very much the same thing. Face-to-face very few people are willing to show you their "true face." Behind your back, that's another thing altogether, but since your back is turned, you don't see it so you can live your life thinking they're decent people. Personally, I'd much rather a person be an jerk to my face than wait until my back is turned. At the very least, the jerk standing in front of you is being honest in his emotions. The anonymous internet removes this because there isn't a face-to-face to begin with.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

You don't have to trust them, but don't mistrust them either AKA "don't call them an asshole, make them prove it."Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
