AggieDave 6 #2 July 3, 2010 There's always skydiving references to real life situations. I just chopped from that relationship or cutaway that bitch come to mind. Variations of hooked in or burned in for various bad things or something coming to an abrupt end. "Dude I tried to call you yesterday" "Yeah, sorry, my phone hooked in..."--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." JohnMitchell 16 #17 July 5, 2010 At our DZ I watched an AFF instructor quizzing a student before the jump. She pointed her index finger at him and said "What does this mean?" He shook his head and said "Dunno." She looked at him seriously and said "Pull!" So he reached over. . . and pulled her finger.

Hi 88, On a "Rag Gore" rig, only the upper part of the cut out had binding tape. The seams were left un taped as the radial seam stitching was "good enough!!" Also bath tub dye jobs were common!! Oliver Duncan from Louisiana Skydivers had an old all white Navy C-9 that he dyed the lower 1/3 red and the upper 1/3 blue and called it his "Uncle Sam" rig. Oh yeah, and Don McQuattie had an all white Navy C-9 that he dyed only the upper 1/4 of it red...we all called it,"The Boob!!!"SCR-2034, SCS-680 III%, Deli-out

happythoughts 0 #25 July 5, 2010 When jumping with a larger group, or when the wind is dead, I tend to land farther away. People ask why I landed so far out. "All your friends landed right here..."
