Verizon Wireless (Customer Service)

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about switiching over to Verizon, but wanted to hear personal experiences with Regard to their customer service. Currently, I'm wth T-Mobile (I have a good track record with them for 3.5 years), & don't get me wrong - I am happy with the signal strength/coverage; the cuustomer service is nothing short of great - good price too.

But lets face it, Verizon has the biggest & best network, the data speeds are faster & they have a better selections of phones. They are roughly $30/month more expensive than what I pay now though, so I want to know if they're worth it.

My only hesitation is the customer service; I've always had a great customer experience with T-Mobile; I never had a problem that wasn't resolved...fast.

Your input is much appreciated. Thanks. :)

I had Verizon for a number of years.
When I trashed my phone in a cycling accident, I wanted to buy a Moto Razr to replace it.
They would only sell me a Razr with crippled firmware making the Bluetooth unusable with anything but a headset.
I canceled my service and went to Sprint who happily sold the the exact same phone with fully-functional firmware, for the same price.

Been with Verizon for 6+ years...

ZERO problems in ANY area!

That's the 1 problem with T-Mobile that I've had...trying to call anyone while at Airventure was a bitch & a half! Granted, it's because so many people are there & the towers are overloaded but still, all the people I know on Verizon that were there had no problems...

I have been with them since before they WERE Verizon. I have never had any problems with them. Great reception even when I am offshore 20 miles out in the Pacific fishing and sailing.

Customer service has always been good and while not the cheapest... the plan is good and does whaat I need it to do when I need it.

I'm a loyal VZW customer and have zero issues with their customer service. It's great, and I have no reservations about recommending them highly to anyone. But, if you're not having any issues with your carrier, why switch? If you're switching for a phone, I recommend against it.

You're in Chicago right? I think T-Mobile rolled out their HSPA+ on the data side, and technically, it is faster than Verizon's EV-DO if your device supports it, though the coverage doesn't compare.

If you have a smart phone, expect to pay more than $30 more per month, closer to $60 more. You'll pay more for the plan (amount will vary), but the data is a separate feature, another $30.

Verizon definitely has the network, but you will pay to play.

If you travel a lot, then that's a serious consideration, but if you've not had any coverage problems, and you're happy, I'm not sure why to make the switch.

Having traveled a lot I got Verizon. They do good. Expect to pay a lot of extra money though. All the extra features you have now will cost with Verizon. Price check what you want before you commit, and then throw in about an extra $25 a line for the extra taxes and fees.

If you do a lot of traveling, go with Verizon. Their costumer service is great. If you don't and T-mobile meets your needs, stick with them.
