Soap or body wash?

So on NPR this morning they said that body wash is starting to outpace soap in sales; they gave the example of a NASCAR pit crew member who uses body wash.

Since all dz.com folks are manly men, whether or not they're male , I decided a poll is in order.

The question is -- which do you use primarily by choice (i.e. not when you're traveling or something like that). If you describe exactly how you rub it on, you'll probably get extra points from the perverts on dz.com, too

i use both. after scrubbing my face with a wet washrag, lather up the rag with bar soap and scrub my goodies, feet, and then ass crack. from there i use body wash and a poof. i don't care how gay it is (not that there's anything wrong with that), the poof feels good. its even better when the wife showers with me and scrubs my back and buttocks with it. she likes the way i smell after using vanilla scented body wash, so thats what i use.

Body wash at home for sure, for traveling soap is fine.

Years ago I never would've thought I would use any foo-foo stuff! ha ha... I guess the times are changin.

Literally since the age of about 9 (I know, not that long ago), I was strictly a body wash girl. Got a little freaked out about the possibility of leftover germs on the bar . When I got my tattoo back in March I was using a bar of Dial on the area. Now I use the bar or the body wash depending on my mood.

I use soap. Dove or Oil of Olay. With a wash cloth. I always thought about the pouf things having all my dirt/exfoliated dead skin still on it (even with a good rinsing).

I heard the same story this morning. Interesting that they said companies are pushing body wash more because its cheaper to produce and easier to market creating a perception that its better for you etc.

I am suing axe body wash because no random woman/women have jumped my bones in an elevator.

Isn't body wash a kind of soap? For me I use the Old Spice Hair and Body wash. Smells good and gets ya clean.

Body wash? That's just a great way to spend more $ for less product. My goal is to get clean, not perfume my knee caps (and everything else). A bar of soap does just fine.

But I've never really been into scents beyond deodorant. I can't remember the last time I put on cologne. I have one coworker who goes overboard with the stuff, divorced guy looking to score where ever he goes. It's pretty gaggy sometimes, sitting elbow to elbow at the scopes.

Liquid bath soap, (I refuse to call it "body wash"), is available in unscented versions.
I buy a generically labeled unscented one sold by the local supermarket.
