Prince says Internet is dead

Recommended Posts

The artist formerly known as Prince, then known as a mere emoticon O(+>, then known again as Prince, has declared the death of the Internet.

Which makes all of us necrophiliacs :)

In an interview with The Mirror, Prince announced that “the internet’s completely over” despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

I'm not going to say Prince isn't off the deep end, or that he's not done some strange shit in his time, but I will say he is greatly underrated as a performer, musician and producer.

The guy has mad skillz, and like Barry Gibb, is, unbenknownst to many, behind a lot of good popular music.

One other thing, he changed his name to a symbol, the pronunciation of which is "The Artist".

So it's The Artist (formerly known as Prince).

You may now return to your necrophiliac fun. ;)

A little more than 10 years ago, one of my previous employers asked whether I could put "the internet" on a 3.5 inch floppy disk for him, so that he could look up something...

Heh heh...

I'm curious how old he was at the time; for as we all know, sometimes older people are slow on the uptake to embrace newere technology that they've lived just fine without for most of their lives.

To torture the point a bit, when Dwight Eisenhower first left the Presidency in 1961, he didn't know how to use a dial telephone: his entire adult life, aides or operators had always placed his call for him. And in the 1980's, our first President Bush took a lot of shit when he was amazed at price-scanners in supermarkets; he'd never seen them before.

Many schools would like their pupils to experience the Internet. It has direct relevance for ICT lessons, however, not all schools have full class access to the Internet.

All schools are concerned about the cost of telephone calls and pupils accessing unsuitable sites!

The Internet on CD enables pupils to experience the power and range of the Internet without actually being connected and running up telephone bills.

For only 29.95.

I agree. Not only has he written great music from the beginning of his career, he's still putting out good stuff. Not to mention that he's written material for other artists like Sinead O'Connor, Morris Day & The Time, Sheena Easton, etc.

Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Last weekend at the dz, the wi-fi was down.

I told a nearby woman that the internet was closed for the 4th.

(I was immediately verbally chastised for misleading the public.)
