Need Geek Help...(with Flash Player)

Recommended Posts

...I hate this. I usually know just enough to stay out of trouble, but this has me stumped.

Certain web-sites that I browse to have embedded Adobe Flash Player clips in them that merely appear as "Get Adobe Flash Player". It doesn't matter which browser I use.

I've downloaded the installer, run it, it says a successful install, and I even restart, yet at several sites (say Foxnews.com for example), I can't play video. When I search my PC, I can find no reference to an installed Flash Player product (other than the installer).

I'm running Win 7 Professional, 32-bit on a Fujitsu Lifebook T5010.

Would other Adobe products (Like Adobe 9 Standard)? Might Kaspersky be interfering?

Any clues would be welcome. ;)

Make sure its not disabled. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall it, reboot the computer and try it again.
