I hope Spain now follows suit I agree with the ban. I just attended a corrida in Madrid two weeks ago, and majority of people were tourists. Also, the whole thing made me want to vomit. I really did wish that the bull would win, as the fight is absolutely not fair. Bottom line is that I wish I did NOT attend it :(

Well its kinda a religious rite for those who follow Mithras... I would rather see it from the standpoint of the bull worship and veneration as done in the Minoan civilization... ridestrong 1 #11 July 28, 2010 I also went to la corrida (bullfight) when I was in Madrid a few years ago. While I was glad I was able to experience that aspect of Spanish history/culture, I agree it should be banned. The bull fights are barbaric and involve little 'sport'. For those that have not actually been to a bull fight, it goes something like this: First the bull is sent out into the arena where there are ~3 or so padded horsemen with long spears. These horsemen stab and spear the bull until it is bloody and weakened. After further tormenting the Matador will come out to face the already battered bull. The matador will then attempt to stick ~4 pronged stakes into the back of the bull, when the bull is weakened to the point where it is mostly just standing around the matador will then attempt to kill the bull by sticking a dagger into the back of the bulls neck/spine... this does not always instantly kill the bull and it will often suffer before final death.. the bull is then tied up by the horns and drug around the area by horses a few times. oh yeah, and they kill 6 or so bulls in 1 event. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----

The man is the bull. The woman, is the Matador. That's right, the most macho guy in Spain is actually in drag. The story starts off as it always does, the noble man walks into the arena that is life. He is teased by the women who stand around, who play with him and stab him in the back over and over again. Note that the picadors and all the other participants are very well dressed in bright colors. After suffering indignation and barbs to his back the bull finds the women of his life. The matador. She dances with him, passing him here and there until she lines him up and stabs him in the heart, that's what the matador is doing when he's lining up the bull. To be dragged around the arena one more time before his exit. Is it barbaric? Yes.
