Beerlight's picture looks to me like a passenger/civilian version of a B-52.

I looked around quick, but couldn't find anything about one, so I could be wrong, or it could be a fake.

That jet airliner was a prototype built in East Gemrnay during the 1950s.
Since it was based on a communist jet bomber, it was way too complex and way too heavy to carry a significant payload, ergo would never have turned a profit as a civilian airliner.
It never went into production.

Ok, so what is it? What was it based on? And who made it?

It sure looked like a B-52 to me, but I'm no expert and I know the Soviets based a lot of their stuff on our designs.

Surely not. What about the pre-war Junkers? (Just because it has no jet engines doesn't stop it being an airliner).
