el_chester 4 #1 April 13, 2005 I own a Neptune and a ProTrack. I would actually prefer to go the Neptune-Paralog way. I wnat to be able to get the jump profiles on my mac computer (Apple). I DO have the (horrible) VitrtualPC software that came with Office, but havent been able to set up the comm ports right yet. Is there anyone out there who has made this work? I could not make the Virtual PC see the Protrack through JumpTrack and don't yet have Paralog or the infrared USB adapter to make this work with the Neptune - don't wanna buy either until I know it will work. Help greatly appreciated. -- Be careful giving advice. Wise men don't need it, and fools won't heed it.
LouDiamond 1 #2 April 13, 2005 Paralog supports MAC so you shouldn't have any issues with software incompatibility and COM PORTs. An IR adapter costs any where from $2 to $20 dollars depending where you get it. Paralog also supports multiple loggers so you can download both the Neptune and Protrack data into one logbook. IanHarrop 42 #3 April 13, 2005 The newest version of Paralog is supposed to be released with the next version of Mac OS (tiger). I understand Tiger is to release this month. From Paralog: "The latest public version for Mac OS X is version 1.16, released 08/20/04. Paralog 2.x will be available for MAC OS X when MAC OS X 10.4 has been released." From Apple: "Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger” will go on sale Friday, April 29, at 6:00 p.m. during special events at Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.""Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
