Good Thing She's Only a Puppy

I'd NEVER be able to name a child! :D My husband and I are bringing home a little chihuahua this weekend. She's charting to be all of 2.75 pounds when she grows up, and she needs a name. My husband and I have talked about names like Delilah, Doxy (not so good--it's a word for a prostitute), Gracie, Piccola, Maya . . . . Anyone have any good ideas to throw into the mix? She's a little tri-color puppy, mostly black, with tan eyebrows and paws.

I am accused of being easily distractable...."Oh look, something Shiny!" :)

I was buying a raft/oars in April and somehow ended up getting a puppy too. Since I had no original intentions of getting a puppy, "Shiny" seemed to be a fitting name for her! :D

Funny story, actually....I was buying a raft/oars from some people out at the flea market. As I turned to walk away, I happened to look down and see a pet taxi. "Oh, what do you have in there?" (shiny moment in the making)

"Puppies."

"Really? Can I see them?" I figured I'd pet them all, put them back and go on my merry way. That's what I get for thinking, I guess! :D I pulled out the first three. They seemed to be Jack Russell looking. A lot of white and didn't appeal to me. But then I pulled out this tiny little bundle of fur with the most beautiful brown eyes. My heart melted.


Worst part is, I knew that my lease said no dogs. But I just couldn't put her back in that carrier. Shhh.....Four months later and the landlord still doesn't know I have her! :)

I'll have to do that tonight, but I will try! No pics available here at the office, sadly. There's a cute video of her licking a litter mate behind the ears. She's either a great lover or a great nurturer! I love her ears. They are all black in the center, but the edges are outlined in tan. They're kind of floppy now, but will stand up straight as she gets older.

Let's see.. Names.. I quite like Killer, actually!! :D Alternatively, you could always call her "Bitch" - just think.. "Come on Bitch, let's go for a walk!" :D
