theonlyski 8 #1 August 29, 2010 Alright, so here is some background. Sergeant X is a senior computer systems tech in my unit, he outranks me by one rank. I am a satellite systems team chief (not quite computer related, but I pick up some of the computer slack) Today as I was walking out of the shop, I was giving one of my guys some shit for not being able to write a program... Its not his job, but hes going to school for a computer science. SSG X has a nasty habit of putting his foot in his mouth, and butting in to others coversations making him look like an... well... you know, 'that guy'... today was no different. I was telling my guy that he could use my old Apple IIe if he wants to start programming with something simple. He thought it was funny, well... SSG X gave me that deer in the headlights look (as normal) I told him to look it up during his shift. He asked what it was again... I told him, 'ya know, an Apple IIe, its an old computer' He (and with a serious look on his face) asked me if it was 'An old IBM computer' Ahh, priceless. But it gets better... He is the proud owner of a Macbook, iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and a few shuffles. I actually wrote a database program for it... Musta been around 4th-5th grade. Macintosh came out about 4 years after the IIe.
