Amazon 7 #1 September 22, 2010 Here is a news item..that a proud dad posted on his facebook page. I have known Jarret for a while and he is an amazing young man... He was really messed up in an accident not so long ago... and he has made an amazing return to the sky. Major props for getting back in the air and doing something that he loves. wmw999 2,589 #7 September 22, 2010 More information (including photos and a link to a video) here. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
JohnMitchell 16 #8 September 23, 2010 Quote How does he deploy? How does he maneuver the parachute? Same as you and I do, with his hands, which work perfectly. Paraplegic, not quad. I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with Jarret for a few years now. Very intelligent, very personable young man. V and I think the world of him. Wherever he finds himself in his life, he will find success and happiness from there.
ifall 0 #9 September 23, 2010 Great job getting back in the air Jarrett! One question I have. What modifications did you have to make to your harness due to your paralysis? Since you don't have any control of your legs what I'm wondering is what happens upon deployment? This is what has me thinking about that. http://makeithappen.com/spsj/fallout.html

It wasn't clear to me that he had use of his arms, because the sub-headline in the news story says; "paralyzed from the neck down" And then further down in the text it says; "paralyzed from the chest down" Thanks for clearing that up for me. JohnMitchell 16 #11 September 23, 2010 Thanks. I got to admit I didn't read the one article. I have had the privilege of watching Jarret's recovery. He's working pretty hard at it.

He wont fall out of his harness.
