swoopfly 7 #1 September 26, 2010 yea i just bought a nice looking kawasaki kx 250, when i tested it, it ran great. brought it home, wont start. got a new plug and other few items, wont start. LongWayToFall 0 #2 September 26, 2010 2 Stroke? If it became hard to kick over to the point you broke the kick lever, it was probably flooded out big time. Turn the choke off, disconnect the ignition coil, remove the spark plug and kick it over to get the fuel out. Put the plug back in, hook the coil up, and try it. If you have someone to help, you could always try bump starting it. Luckily, if it ran good before, it is probably fine (the engine shouldn't be broken, and the jetting hasn't changed etc). 2 Strokes are also as simple as it gets!
