The_Don 0 #1 October 11, 2010 Pull into the DZ Friday , spot what looks like an orange pilot chute hooked to a very long & heavy duty white cord. Turns out it's a weather balloon launched the night before from Peachtree City in Atlanta. The box at the end of the cord contains instructions to send it to Kansas City, Missouri along with a prepaid mailing bag. They want to know when & where it was found and they can reuse the instrument after they get the data out of it. Will mail it out tomorrow. How cool! I am NOT being loud. I'm being enthusiastic! jonstark 8 #2 October 11, 2010 Found one in Ashfield Lake in MA. It was tagged with instructions to dispose of it in an appropriate manner as it had no value to them. It was pretty cool to dissect. jon
