im sitting here trying to figure out how im going to get together the cash to buy gear and i had an idea!! i do finish carpentry for a living in the nyc area and id be more than willing to do work for gear. im just starting out and need pretty much everything so if anyones interested let me know.

Edit to add: let your DZO know about your carpentry skills. He/she may have some work/handyman projects that you could help with. Don't count on it to be a lot of money, but you never know what little work might come up here or there.

like Krissanne said, learn to pack fast, if you can finish a rig in 5 minutes and your at a busy dz or a boogie you can make some really good money if your knees and hands can take it.

Move to Southern Cal. and I have plenty of work for you, (bathroom floors, shower, , then floors threw out the house) and wwe have 3 DZ's within 45 minutes of our house...(Perris, Elsinore, Otay)
