Goodbye Skydive Aggieland

Recommended Posts

Today was the last day of a DZ that I helped open back in 2002: Skydive Aggieland.

There have been many ups and downs, but at the end of the day I completed 2115 jumps at this dropzone, including getting my coach rating and tandem rating. I learned how to fly my canopy at that dropzone, at the hands of Scott Miller (who we brought in around twice a year for a few years).

A large number of jumpers had visited over the past 8 years, for the AOT boogies, other events, or just because. The Texas CPC had competitions there for a couple of years, as well.

Skydive Aggieland at Coulter Field, than you for the memories, thank you for the experience and learning, thank you for all the friends I made. Most importantly, thank you for introducing me to my wife, who gave me such a great son, life and family.

Thank you Skydive Aggieland for everything, you will be missed!
