Samsung Galaxy Tab - Any Users?

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now - very satisfied with the performance. Pricey compared to the iPad, of course, but wow - the Android store has a ton of free apps.

According to PC World Samsung has already sold over a million units.

The duty-free shop in Bahrain (where I got mine) said they're selling about 25 of them per day.

He he he... I was just about to comment along the lines of "I don't have one but somebody in the Lisbeth Salander thread uses one." Then I checked to see who it was in that other thread... and it was you.

So far it's been very, very cool. Pricey compared to the iPad, but no vendor lock-in, no DRM, handy size but not too small, micro SD, cams front and back, accelerometer, screen pinching, flash-aware...it goes on and on. I saw a demo on Youtube this morning that showed me things I didn't even know it could do in addition to everything else.

Battery life is about 6 or 7 hours of heavy use. The iPad's got it beat there.

I bought one at Best Buy today. It was $140 cheaper than a 16G iPad with 3G and no contract service from VZW.

The only thing it lacks compared to the iPad I have at work is screen size. The other benefits Mark mentions more than make up for it because one of the things that I dont like about our iPad is that it's a tad too big to be comfortable to hold in one hand.
