skybeergodd 0 #1 March 20, 2005 Just wanted to give a big cheer and thank-you to Simon Wade....I recently got my Master Riggers ticket from him and learned an incredible amount also....and then to throw frosting on the cake, he just sent me a great drawing on how to build ground launch harness'......Hand drawn with all the measurement already figured out!!!...above and beyond the call of duty......anyone thinking of getting their riggers ticket or any senior rigger wanting their master riggers ticket , I'd HIGHLY recommend calling Simon.... I don't think he posts on here but if anyone here is close by to him buy him a cold one for me and I'll owe ya. Blue skies Kelly Hinson
mjosparky 4 #2 March 20, 2005 Kelly, Congratulations, that is hot. Not only are you now a Master Rigger, I see by your profile you are a FF/PM. I retired in 1997, great job. SparkyMy idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
kjarv 0 #3 March 20, 2005 Congratulations! I did my AFF with simon-- great guy, really professional and great attitude. I once called the DZ to ask simon if the weather was good enough to jump and he said "If you stay at home, you KNOW you won't jump" So I got in the car, wx cleared up and I was in the air! okalb 104 #8 March 21, 2005 Simon was my first AFF instructor back in 1997 and I can safely say that if it weren't for him I don't think I would be skydiving today. There is a long story behind it, but as a student he really went out of his way for me. I changed DZs in the middle of my AFF for personal reasons and my first day at my new DZ he just showed up there for no reason but to lend moral support and be there for me. When the folx at the new DZ found out, they ended up letting him jump with me there. brucej 0 #9 May 12, 2005 I also just want to say thanks to Simon. I just finished his Master Rigger's course this afternoon - with success. It was a long three days, but worth it.
