NWFlyer 2 #1 August 15, 2008 Fucking hilarious. And if you're easily offended, pull the stick out of your ass and go see it anyway, because it's fucking hilarious. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/tropic_thunder/"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. birdlike 0 #2 August 16, 2008 I am so glad to hear it! I'll be going to see it for free on Sunday. Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire
bluiev 0 #3 August 19, 2008 Saw it last weekend. Totally hilarious... especially the beginning where everyone in the movie was like .. "huh? wtf is this?" Then came "Satan's Alley" and everyone couldnt stop laughing -b
quade 4 #4 August 19, 2008 It's an interesting film. Something for everybody too. If you wanna go if for the fart/gross humor there's something for you. If you wanna see some pretty sophisticated Hollywood insider spoof stuff, it's there too. I was kind of amazed that some of the jokes got into the movie considering who is IN the movie. As for the "retard" controversy; the people that are upset about it, I don't think understood what was actually being said in the movie at all. I think they -completely- missed the point of what that scene was about.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
auburnguy 0 #5 August 19, 2008 pretty funny movie. all of the characters were hilarious, tom cruise as the studio exec was especially funny."If you don't like your job, you don't strike! NWFlyer 2 #6 August 19, 2008 I loved Matthew McConnaughey as the agent ... I was laughing my ass off every time "The Pecker" was on screen.
LouDiamond 1 #7 August 19, 2008 I thought Downey Jr gave an excellent performance in the movie. Dude was funny. Definately a good mindless, fun, make everyone laugh at least once movie with plenty of catchy phrases that will surely be picked up and used by the masses. It is also a BIG poke in the eye directed at Hollywood and actors. I'm just wondering how long before someone actually starts selling cans of booty sweat"I'm a lead farmer mutha fucker!!""Never go full retard" "Wait, what do you mean "you people"? " " Mutha Fucker what do you mean "you people"?" "It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
ryoder 1,590 #8 November 25, 2009 I just watched this on recommendation from a co-worker. Now bear in mind I don't care for Stiller, nor Black, or their low-brow humor. But Downey, Cruise, and Nolte, more than made up for it!!!I didn't even realize who they were at first. BIg thumbs up! shah269 0 #9 November 25, 2009 The part where Blacks character is carrying the kid into the heroin factory screaming "Don't judge me...." classic! "What you mean Lance?" JohnMitchell 16 #14 November 25, 2009 Saw it in the theater and thought it was hilarious. I've had numerous friends that have done stunt work in the movies, and the movie rang true with some of the anecdotes I've heard. Nice send up of Tinsel Town.
