Man survives a 1,000 ft. fall

Recommended Posts

I think that by fall they don't mean like an actual free fall fall from reading the part:

Quote

"It seemed impossible. So we retraced our path back up the mountain and, sure enough, there were bits of his kit in a vertical line all the way up where he had obviously lost them during the fall," Lieutenant Tim Barker, who was on board a Sea King helicopter, said, according to the paper.

Looking for a picture of the place I found place called 'Sgurr Choinnich Mor' the arcticle says 'Sguss Choinnich Mor' which I guess is a typo.

That place doesn't really look like a place where you could fall of a cliff, rather roll down a huge ass hill.

The site seems to load different pictures every time you refresh so you may not get the same pics as I.
Your rights end where my feelings begin.

After looking at the pics the previous poster put up, I'm thinking you're right. The reporter's idea of "near veriticle" is a lot differenent from ours. Ours is some thing you could possibly jump and his/hers is some thing too steep to have a picnic on.
Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done.
