First jump with 'booties' (new jumpsuit)

Recommended Posts

I have just bought a new Symbiosis jump suit with booties, custom made to fit me.

I have never jumped with booties before and some people are now telling me how much difference they make..... so be prepared !

I havent jumped much over winter (what with the crap weather) so Im rusty anyway.

Should I not use the booties until I've done a few jumps, just so I 'clean the cobwebs out' ?

What should I expect the first time I use my booties ?

you have a chance of backsliding because your booties will create more drag. It will take more force to extend your legs far enough to keep you fly in one place (not backsliding or moving forward).

That's about it I think..Do your first jump without booites..the second with ;)

Maybe it's just my inexperience, but I thought I had less trouble with backsliding with the booties. Also seems like I can track faster with them. I had a little trouble catching air with them on exit and turning me. Like I said though it might just be me.

More drag on the legs tilts you slightly head down, giving forward drive.
...

The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
