We don't all like to drive cars that burn 1 dinosaur per mileGrowing up in Africa I never did have the courage to sleep under the stars when we were on fishing trips (happy in a tent). On half a dozen occasions the guys who slept under the stars woke to find an elephant trunk in their face as they are so curious. The strangest thing is growing up in africa and moving to the UK. Go on holiday to Wales and people are telling you how cool it is that there are wild sheepExperienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived. Niki1 2 #17 February 24, 2011 Quote But really, who takes their VW to go look at elephants? Thats just silly! The best kind of car to take to watch elephants is... someone elses. And is just me or did that elephant have a very casual look like, "Man, I'm gettin' tired of clearin' this road every day." You know what is funny. This was taken at a game reserve. Whoever it is, has gone to see wildlife, possibly from far away and yet they got impatient. They were stuck directly behind a magnificent specimen of a "big five". There is very little I enjoy more than sitting quietly in the bush, watching wildlife. I like game, can't do the bird-watching thing, unless it is of the topless varietyExperienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived. The coolest wild animals we have are foxes. And yes, they're pests, but I do like to see them roaming the streets. Walk through my neighborhood after dark and you're almost guaranteed to see one or two, and they're pretty bold as well. They're quite happy to trot along the pavement a few paces ahead of you. Oh, and every now and again they move indoors.

MikeJD 0 #23 February 28, 2011 Quote My first thoughts on that story was I wonder how long it will take a fox to fall 950 feet. I'm going to say about 10 seconds. And I doubt they're as resilient as cats are when it comes to long drops. You do have to wonder why a fox would climb to that height in the first place, given that I'd have thought there were far richer pickings at ground level. Unless there was a trail of leftover workmen's lunch scraps all the way up the staircase!
