Nataly 38 #1 March 1, 2011 I'm constantly amazed by all the woman-bashing that goes on in these forums. And it occurred to me that it's not often that the women on here actively criticise men. In fact, we spend a great deal of time defending ourselves (as opposed to attacking). And on balance, you men have just as many faults as we do! So we *could* go on and on about these if we wanted to! I was just wondering why it is that so many guys on here consistently bash/insult/criticise women, while so few of the women ever bash/insult/criticise men... Is it because we're a minority and therefore it's not in our interest to piss off the majority? Is it bullying? Insecurity? What?? The question goes out to both genders... ETA: By "many" I don't mean the majority.. Niki1 2 #5 March 1, 2011 We all (skydivers) have the same type personalities. Type A or Type T, whatever "they're" calling it today. Part of this personality type is the potintial for being an asshole. I think most of us act reasonably and even in a professional manner. But there are those among us that exercise that potential a lot more that the others. A characteristic of this potential is a loud mouth. They are the ones who get heard. I believe that if you actually did a count you would find the active assholes in the mimority. That being said, I think you might employ tha Golden Rule. "Treat others as you would want to be treated." But I see no problem with turning that around. That is, assume the other person is going by the Rule also. If they treat you badly. assume that they want to be treated badly. Mean people suck.Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. History is full of males bashing females. But things are moving (albeit slowly) to where this is becoming a thing of the past. There is still plenty of room for improvement, but there has never been a better time in human history to be female than the present. Opportunities for women to do anything they want have never been better. But anyone who bashes the other gender (be it here or elsewhere) is a small person. We are in this together. Men may be from Mars and women may be from Venus. But we all call the solar system our home. Okay I was far too political correct there. Now show us some boobies. Well...if you are talking about the divorce thread I think it has alot to do with the way the courts are set up. A guy in a divorce court is seen as a cooked turkey to be cut up and consumed. And that will leave some bitter and quite unhappy. As for the boobies thread...do you really want to see my boobies? Really? They are a bit fuzzy but I think they look rather good! But still....do you really want to see them? The rest is just biology and let's face it....you girls can really be a major pain in the ass! But well what can I say? We guys love you all! Girls are more apt to take responsiblity for their own actions where as most guys find it easier to blame the woman. So more of a general attack than a personal one. I don't think I make broad general negative statements about men - or women, for that matter. And this post was not meant to be a bash - just an observation. But you bring up a very good point. Perhaps there is just as much bashing on our end, but I'm not noticing it because it's more subtle.
