ryoder 1,590 #10 March 17, 2011 Whew! I'm so relieved. After all these dishes you make that cause me to go to Wikipedia to look them up, I just couldn't believe you made what looked like such an ordinary 'Merkun pizza. But the Saucisson sec saved the day, (and sent me to Wikipedia again). "There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. JohnMitchell 16 #13 March 17, 2011 I hope none of that cooking requires a kitchen sink.Vskydiver and I have a good bread maker. We rarely bake the bread in the machine but we use it all the time for pizza dough, dinner rolls, etc. A good bread machine will put about 10 pounds on you a year. david3 0 #16 March 17, 2011 Quote I worried it would be soggy so I pre-cooked the crust a little - it was *gorgeous* I haven’t mastered pizza dough yet and every time I try it comes out okay but not worth the effort. My grocery store sells frozen pizza dough that comes out very good. I have also purchased the dough right from a restaurant. With all that being said it has been long enough since I tried making my own that I’ll give this a try. As far as soggy crust, I have a pizza stone that I preheat to 500 degrees before I put the pizza in. You need a peel to prepare to pizza on and put it on the stone with. No more soggy crust.
