JohnnyMarko 1 #1 March 24, 2011 So I do research on box turtles on my campus and walking through the woods I see lots of cool wildlife. For those of you who love wildlife like I do, here's a few critters I came across today.... First is a Common garter snake (Thamnophis sirtalis) Second is a Little brown bat (Myotis lucifugus) Last is a Easter box turtle (Terrepene carolina carolina) named 'Digger' [because he loves to dig]. His back left leg was amputated by a lawn mower (which you can see in the picture) and he had an ear infection as well. We released him last year and found him this Spring using a transmitter and antenna. Just thought I'd share
 skycamefalling 0 #2 March 24, 2011 Luckily the chimp did not get to the turtle also. The frog must have been pretty good Speedracer~I predict that Michael Jackson will rise from the dead. And that a giant radioactive duck will emerge from the ocean and eat Baltimore. The bat and snake were definitely not shy and didn't care how close I got...the turtle picture I took in the lab so he didn't have a choice
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
