Spatula 0 #1 March 2, 2005 I was checking out the Bonehead Composites site today and came across an offer for Bonehead Bonds. http://www.boneheadcomposites.com/bonebond.htm What do you all think about this? Good deal? Invest a $100 into the program, get a Bonehead Bond, and in 6 months it's good towards $200 worth of Bonehead products. Just looking for some opinions on it. In six months I'll be buying gear and I already like the Gunner and/or Pimp Daddy. So whatcha think??
fields 0 #2 March 2, 2005 Can't go wrong, if you can wait. I got two and cashed them in. The bonds are transferable too. I think for $200 I got a Guner, goldmember, a topper for my mindwarp, a cutaway mod, and an altimount."And the sky is blue and righteous in every direction" Survivor Chuck Palahniuk
Spatula 0 #3 March 2, 2005 Did you purchase from a dealer or from Bonehead directly?
fields 0 #4 March 2, 2005 Directly with Bonehead. I just looked at the page and it says you can't purchase Goldmembers, Cutaway kits, or flat-top retro kits anymore. So I got lucky. Since they give no change or credit these small items pad out the order."And the sky is blue and righteous in every direction" Survivor Chuck Palahniuk
AndyMan 7 #5 March 2, 2005 Absolutely good deals. I bought one helmet for myself, and my wife got one too - both using "BondBonds". As long as you don't mind the wait, they're fantastic. We live in Chicago, so we time the wait with the off-season, we get great new helmets in the spring, at incredible prices. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. kelpdiver 2 #6 March 2, 2005 how long have they been doing this sort of thing? I see a company that will take my money now for double credit in 6 months and the suspicious side of me thinks they have cash flow problems and may not make it. How many investments pay an effective return of 200%? If it makes someone buy their lid instead of another vendor, it is a positive for them, but seems like very expensive marketing. If I swap out my protec for something more colorful, it probably would be the Mindwarp, so I guess it would be a great deal for me to jump on.

AndyMan 7 #9 March 3, 2005 Quotehow long have they been doing this sort of thing? I've known about it for 3 years, and there's a few threads on here about it. Bonehead doesn't have the priveldge of closing up for the winter when northernites are snowed in, and not buying gear. They need to pay the staff somehow when the market is in an expected seasonal downturn.... A good thread about it here. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. Spatula 0 #10 March 3, 2005 My apologies all for not doing a search prior, should have. I'm going to take advantage of the offer. I thought they might also make it work by having a higher price than the street price, but it looks pretty much the same there.
