I just wanted to say, for the record, that I have a new found love for good 'ol Uncle Sam again! He's decided to buy me a new rig this year! It seems he made a mistake in his financial calculations and has offered to pick up the tab on my brand new setup...What a guy! Anyone else have any luck with tax refunds this year? If yes, what are you gonna do with the moola?

I had a little luck, much better than having to pay in, but only enough for about 4 jumps. However, Moma and Daddy had extreme luck, about 2 RIGS worth, and I mentioned to them about my price for a Cypress and it's being discussed, so.... I've got my fingers crossed!

I already received my refund cause I was able to telefile and get it direct deposited, pretty fast. It is already gone though, since I used it to buy my rig.

I've been pretty lucky with my tax returns. Last year I spent my return on a cypres. This year I spent it on a safire.

How the hell do all you people get these giant tax returns? I was elated to find out I was getting $712 back (that's five hundred more than last year). You must have kids or something! Or maybe you just don't take any exemptions on your W-2 so you can get more back as a refund. I dunno, but like they said, it was yours to begin with. The government pisses me off!

That's ok Sis. $712 is pretty good actually. I know I'll have a pretty good refund because I really only worked the first 6 months of the year, so the % on the deductions was based for about twice the amount I actually made.
And for you poor bastards that have to actually *pay* Uncle Sam, look on the bright side. You actually come out better in the long run. Uncle Sam will give you exactly ZERO interest on that extra money you paid. So even if you had it in a checking account getting 1% on it you come out better. Of course that still doesn't make it hurt any less to have to fork out all that money.

You form a company - "Freaksister Incorporated" that err... sells things (or something!?). This company needs to advertise right? So it needs an advertising budget! What better advertising than by skydiving? I suppose that this means that ALL your skydiving costs would be tax-deductible (at least in theory????).
Aletrnatively.... Do abducted kids count for tax allowances?

Unc Sam isnt QUITE buying me my new rig at only $900 back, but its a good start. Between that and the packing money this summer (anybody need a good fast packer at Skydive Dallas come see me...) ill have it before the end of the summer!
