billvon 3,120 #1 April 14, 2011 A few weeks back I was at Elsinore for the SSL meet. This was right after Pat went in, and there were a lot of people there who knew we were close. Ralph, Hammo, Lob, Tom, Steve the judge etc came by and said how sorry they were. But there were also four people who I had never met before (and now forget their names) who came up to me and asked how well I knew him, that they were sorry, that they'd been thinking about what had happened over there. One woman got sort of teary; she had never met Pat, but she had heard so many stories about him over the past few days that she felt like she had. It was really nice of them to take the time to come up to some guy they'd never met before and offer their condolences. So thanks, people of Elsinore, for taking a few minutes to offer support to a guy who was having a hard time that day.

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #3 April 14, 2011 That's beautiful. I'm glad that everyone at Elsinore was so caring towards you, Bill. It's good to know that there is lots of love and best wishes from one DZ to the other, especially during times like this. It's when our community truly comes together as one.
