BillyVance 35 #26 May 2, 2011 Quote hey billy is it true that the whole city of tuscaloosa is gone? I haven't had sat. t.v. access for a week but caught something on the local station that i think said that. I hope it's not true Not the whole city. It would have taken a 10 mile wide twister to wipe out pretty much the entire city. Then you'd be seeing probably 50,000 deaths. There's a satellite photo of the path the tornado took through part of Tuscaloosa. You can pan across it. Bryant Denny Stadium sits up north of the damage path and the mall on the right is just a block south of the path. http://blog.al.com/spotnews/2011/05/interactive_a_look_at_the_torn.html As soon as I can, I'll post some pictures I took around town (not a lot) and of my tree damage."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
BillyVance 35 #27 May 2, 2011 Quote Quote Oh man, and I have a nice generator up here in Washington. We haven't lost power since I bought it 4 years ago.Wish I could instantly send it to Billy. I learned something here: Buying a generator prevents power outages. Plus if you have two full size freezers and two refrigerators full of food, you'll want a generator, as my parents do. Fortunately, I didn't have time to do a major food shopping trip before the storm knocked out our power so we didn't lose much. The weather was nice and cool during the outage so we were all right. If this had been in the dead of summer, with temps around 100F, that would have been a totally different story. That said, I may just go ahead and get one large enough to run a couple of major appliances and the HVAC, later when all the shit settles down."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
davjohns 1 #28 May 2, 2011 Lost power Wednesday night. Came back a bit ago (Monday). I went to my parents' below Bham for the weekend, so it wasn't bad at all. Drove through some pretty hefty damage. Very sorry for those who lost much. I was just a bit inconvenienced and stressed. Glad to see Billy and Bertt are good. :)I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

My electricity came back on today. I'll sell it to you for $50.00 less than I paid. I'll throw in a full 5 gallon gas can and deliver it to you. AND I'll bring beer...Just cause you're a Stand Up kinda guy! PM me if you're interested..."Science, logic and reason will fly you to the moon. Religion will fly you into buildings."
