Treejumps 0 #1 February 22, 2005 What do you have or like in a double needle machine? Primary use will be to attach binding tape. Found a singer 112-140 for a good price. Is adjustable space between the needles important? Any input appreciated. Thanks.
masterrig 1 #2 February 22, 2005 I would say 'yes' unless all you plan to use it for is strictly 3/4" binding tape. I can't think of any draw-backs to it. I had one that either of the needles could be 'flipped' up for single needle sewing. Sounds like a good machine you have! Chuck

You will need a 3/16" spaced machine with a needle feed Presser foot mechanisim for container work ( especially plastics) without a needle feed you will find it tough going. Stay away from walking foot twins though as they make corner turning tricky. Have a professional technician adjust the timing of the machine for you, it will help when working with thicker materials.
