aphid 0 #8 July 3, 2011 Hey Rob, You're missing a killer ASPA Provincials at Eden North. Most competitors and best attendance in years. FS, 10way Speed, Canopy Piloting, 2way CRW, accuracy. Live (surfer-punk) music last night. AND, the best weather I've seen in about 5 years. John
hcsvader 1 #9 July 4, 2011 Hey John, Yeah, It looks like Alberta is the place to be this July! I've been following everything on FB. I wish I could be there but I' off having my own foolish adventure. I'v been to 12 dropzones in australia since sept and done close to 300 jumps. I still have 4 or 5 dropzones to visit and 2 boogies to attend before my year here is done. I could come back to Canada in september but I think my time will be better spent in Malaysia, thailand and New Zealand I plan on being home (out of money) in April or may 2012. doog 0 #11 July 4, 2011 Hi fellow Canadian.. What gives with "stuck"? You get "stuck" when you are held up going from A to B (like on the way to NZ you got stuck in Australia because you wuz broke). If you are there on purpose you aint stuck..you are fortunate. Have a good one, eh. My 2 cents (0.193683 AUD)DOOG Muff 846 All you people are here to make sure I have a good time. mdrejhon 8 #12 July 4, 2011 We had a great time at Parachute Montreal on Canada's Day as well; more than 100 Canadians showed up and did 100-way attempts. This is how well we did (95+): Facebook Photo Also a good write up: Report by Peter Chapman at CSPA thread This is great, considering the last Record was only a 59-way. We went "Go big or go home", and didn't want to cut it to just a record-beating 65-way. Instead, we'll try again in 2012 and obliterate the old Canadian Record massively. Cheers, Mark Rejhon
hcsvader 1 #13 July 5, 2011 Hey Mark, Thats was one of the hardest parts about not being in Canada. I would have loved to have been a part of the 100 way attempt. I was going to go to the one in perris but pulled out after hearing about the low numbers. Big exspense to get there from australia. Hopefully you guys can start a tradition of Canada day 100 ways!Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
