Anyone ever jump with a Colonel Wesley Fox?

Recommended Posts

Colonel Fox was a deputy commandant for the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets from 93-01 and was supposed to be a pretty avid sport jumper back in the day. He's a highly decorated Marine and as an alumnus I think it would be awesome to jump with a man like him however I don't think he jumps anymore (I could be wrong though).

Did any of the older jumpers, particularly those from the Mid-Atlantic region, ever jump with him?

Colonel W. Fox was one of the few USMC quad bodies: Jump, Scuba, Ranger and tour the the Royal Marines. He was also a Medal of Honor recipient. If memory serves me correctly, he was the commanding officer of 2nd Force Recon company while I was there. Never jumped with him, but a darn good leader. Considering, he was in his prime while I was in my youth. I would venture to say that he doesn't jump any more.

Anybody got a picture of this guy? I remember some Marine Major chewed me out for landing in the briefed landing area when everybody else landed a mile+ out at Misawa along about 1980. This after he spotted us DOWNwind. Just wondering...
I'm a jumper. Even though I don't always have money for jumps, and may not ever own a rig again, I'll always be a jumper.
