muff528 3 #1 July 21, 2011 ...to have heard the double sonic booms! ) I was awakened from "half-sleep" this morning by the shuttle's "announcement" of it's final return. I was disappointed last night by news of the southerly flight path. It usually passes pretty much directly over central Florida from the west. But the booms came through in the quiet morning and quite loudly at that!
skymama 37 #2 July 21, 2011 I was woken up too! At first, I thought my cats were fussing outside my door because it was close to feeding time, then I figured out it was the boom. I smiled, remembering the excitement of when I got to jump with that shuttle almost 2 weeks ago (even though I couldn't see it! ). Bittersweet. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
SARLDO 0 #3 July 22, 2011 I was outside and watched the refelction off the space station as it flew overhead a few minutes before the shutle returned. Although I was expecting the sonic boom, i was still startled by the intensity of it this time."Always do right.
