JeffSkydiver 0 #1 February 13, 2005 Hey folks, How would I know whether a pair of sport goggles are or are not suitable for skydiving? I now own a pair I bought at the DZ, but at Walmart yesterday I noticed they sell sport goggles in several styles and with prescription lens they're only $80.00. I would like to get them, but how do I know before jumping them whether they are suitable for our sport versus racketball or whatever? jt* Let's all do this safe enough that we can still do this in our 90's. kai2k1 0 #2 February 13, 2005 http://www.sportrx.com/order.asp?product_id=SP04 Check these guys out. You might find what youre loking for. I would look for something that is slightly vented, and that has foam rubber around your eyes to provide somewhat of a seal. Fab 0 #3 February 13, 2005 Take a look at www.barzoptics.com They can be ordered with prescription lenses. Also an option is Adidas elevation climacool. The have a insert (very small pair of extra glasses) which you click onto the inside of the goggles). take a look at www.adidas.com..am sure they're on a webpage somewhere Both are expensive...barz are a bit cheaper then the adidas. _______________________________________
riggerrob 643 #4 February 13, 2005 Racquetball glasses - with prescription lenses - have served me well for the last decade. Sure the big, clear frames look a bit geeky, but they are the only frames that survive my loving students slamming my head into the door frame.
