regulator 0 #2 August 3, 2011 I use skype on a daily basis for my job. I would assume that they arent local to you...or perhaps the manager you would be interviewing with is not local to you. It's not a difficult application to use and I would also assume that they would use the video feature so you could see their faces...but I could be wrong. Let me know if you need any help. skydiver30960 0 #3 August 4, 2011 Don't fear the Skype. Download and install in about three minutes. If your computer has a built in camera, you're aces. If not, you can buy one at your favorite office or computer store for a couple bucks. The only thing I can think of that would be different from a real interview would be to make sure you set up your computer and camera in a neutral, embarrassment-free location. For example, make sure that collection of vodka bottles you've had since college isn't behind you during the interview. Sounds like a cool way to get the interview done if it's long distance. My first interview for my current job was a telephone interview with a cell phone at my end and a speaker phone at the other. Needless to say, it sucked. Skype would have been a huge improvement. sandi 0 #6 August 4, 2011 I'm all set up and ready to Skype. I did a couple trials with friends to make sure everything worked and adjust the settings. I'm ready for my interview tomorrow.
