bertusgeert 1 #1 August 16, 2011 So how do I paint a helmet so it doesn't look like a 5 year old with crayons? I'm talking about a smooth, pro, airbrushed look - of my own design. Where do I get that done? --------------------------------------------- As jy dom is moet jy bloei!
PiLFy 3 #2 August 16, 2011 A quick search on the Internet will yield some VERY nice work. Those artists do a lot of online sales. It isn't cheap, though.
airtwardo 7 #3 August 16, 2011 I've seen a few really NICE custom painted helmets...the artwork usually cost as much or more than the helmet itself. ...then it gets banged up. What ya might want to try is get an airbrush kit at a hobby store, lay out on the computer what you want and cut up some stencils to lay on the lid, paint it up...then 2000 coats of clear and good to go! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

bertusgeert 1 #5 August 16, 2011 QuoteSo the natural (purple) colour not good enough for ya? Paragliding for a few hours in Arizona sun in the summer...with a black helmet, is not good. Tape & white spraypaint may work but it'll look terrible is my guess. --------------------------------------------- As jy dom is moet jy bloei!

Morrison79 0 #8 August 16, 2011 If you get a custom paint job it will look great...till you start jumping it! I wouldn't spend too much money getting it painted. Look around at the helmets at your dz. They get pretty banged up!
