skyblu3 0 #1 February 8, 2005 A friend of mine inherited a container. It is in nice condition, modern, freefly friendly, etc.. This container has the standard, large risers and large 3-ring. He asked me a question which i didn't really know the answer to. He wanted to know if there is any possible way to change a harness fitted with large rings to mini rings. Obviously there is no reason to do this other than aesthetics, but i began wandering whether this is possible without violating the TSO or structural integrity of the harness. nicknitro71 0 #2 February 8, 2005 You can install mini-ring-risers on big d-ring (#10) no problem. If you want to change a d-ring (#10) with the smaller one (#8) you need to send the harness to the manufacture or a master rigger. It is an alteration.Memento Audere Semper
GravityGirl 0 #3 February 8, 2005 It is possible to put mini risers/rings on his current set up. IMO the best (smoothest) set up is Large/Large, Mini/Mini, Large/Mini, in that order. All are functional. Have a good look at the RSL configuration and make sure it is in a safe location for that set-up. Get the opinion of a qualified rigger on this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
