missbrz 0 #1 August 30, 2011 So on Friday I go for my long awaited trip to Skydive New England for their Tiki boogie with friends. We all fly into Boston and then drive to Lebanon, Maine. Any locals or frequent visitors have any suggestions for a place to get great seafood along the way? I can't in good conscience visit ont the best seafood areas and not chow down on some tasty lobster or chowder. That's one of our favs for seafood in that town. Also they'll serve you Sam Adams in the special tasting glass and you can keep the glass for a souvenir. I bet there will be gobs of lobster shacks along the way for you. Just make your way down to the warf and there are several places that have open seating and serve great fresh food. Or, there are some great high-end places to eat. One of my best trips there was pulling in to the dock during a rain storm and my team (sailboat) all went in to town wearing foul-weather gear (the good old yellow rubber stuff). The Maitre'd sat us OUTSIDE, on the patio - in the rain . I guess we were not in their dress code.. If you are in Newport during the afternoon, the Mansion's Walk (advertised as Cliff Walk) is just up from the Warf. During one of my ports-of-call (off the ship this time) it was a pretty easy stroll up from the warf. However, I don't know if they were hit too hard from the recent weather. I bet they are getting back to normal... Have a good tripedited for a correction Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!! Anyone who tells you different is full of it.Its not too far out of your way either, It's about 20 min off 95N, whereas Newport RI would be going in the wrong direction entirely for an hour or so. http://www.woodmans.com/
 OlympiaStoica 0 #5 August 31, 2011 You guys let me know where you end up on Friday ...
